Job Description

Division Vice President, Clinical Services - East Division

 

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning and directing clinical services, operations and quality improvement practices within a specified Division. Specific responsibilities include monitoring delivery of care, clinical systems and programs, rehabilitation services, clinical practice, RAI process, case mix coordination, quality of life programs, social services and nutrition programs. Formulates and recommends improvements to ensure effective and efficient resident care and compliance with Federal and State regulations, OBRA requirements and company policies and procedures. Originates corrective processes and implements quality programs in all areas of resident care.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of implementing quality clinical service programs in the assigned Division. Assesses, develops, coordinates, implements, and evaluates clinical service and quality improvement systems in the areas of nursing, dietary, activities, rehabilitation, social services and clinical information management.

  • Analyzes and makes recommendations to enhance work efficiency and information flow processes along with suitability and accuracy of Clinical Informatics. Works with staff to identify deficiencies and takes proactive steps to remedy potential impact to resident care. Monitors case mix reports and anticipates professional and supportive staffing needs.

  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State regulations, local and JCAHO requirements. Works with legal staff and key departments provide facilities with appropriate privacy and confidentiality, consent, and authorization forms. Monitor facilities to ensure all staff maintain detailed documentation, accurate utilization reviews and meet reimbursement requirements.

  • Oversees rehabilitative and quality of life programs. Directs quality standards and ensures appropriateness of resident care meets or exceeds company and industry standards. Ensures all Division rehabilitative services are in compliance with state, federal, regulatory, accreditation and reimbursement guidelines.

  • Manages and monitors staffing levels in all assigned programs; ensures appropriate levels of professionalism and paraprofessional staff possess the requisite clinical skill levels needed in accordance with budgetary and company guidelines.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Job Requirements

 

Job Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse, Bachelor’s Degree or other Clinical degree.

  • Ten (10) or more years of long-term care experience, including five (5) years of multi-region experience and oversight.

  • Organizational leadership and communication skills.Graduate of accredited school of Nursing or other Allied Health Care Institution with at least a Bachelor’s degree.
