Description
  • Provide direction and directives to the department staff in the performance of their duties, establishing work priorities, and in achieving management initiatives

  • Streamline business processes to maximize efficiency and effectiveness within the department

  • Oversee the development and administration of the following areas of focus

    o   Benefits programs, compensation structures

    o   Performance management and organization feedback

    o   HR association in mergers and acquisition transitioning

    o   Organizational structure and development

    o   Talent management and bench strength development

    o   Training and professional development of management

    o   College recruiting

    o   Employee relations and culture building

    o   Employee recruitment and retention

    o   Compliance and reporting functions

    o   Diversity and affirmative action processes

    o   Safety and Environmental leadership / training and compliance

    o   Comprehension of legal and labor laws in China

  • Provide strategic support to executives and management in the areas of:

    o   Linking business unit/operation strategies

    o   Provide coaching and guidance on employee relations issues, legal and statutory items and organizational development

    o   Coaching business partners to create and maintain a work environment with high morale and productivity

  • Provide leadership and consulting support to company executives and management on matters of goals setting, policy development, and strategic implementation in support of achieving corporate objectives and business growth

Requirements

 Skills Requirements:

 

  • Minimum of ten years Human Resources experience

        o   Functional and strategic aspects of Human Resources

        o   Departmental staff assessment, management and development for an HR staff of ten to twenty members

        o   Leadership and organizational development

 

  • Previous experience with multi-site, multi-state, multi-functional organizations
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization
  • Experience as chief spokesperson for union negotiations required


Educational/Certification Requirements:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, HR/OD, or other related field

  • Professional certification at SPHR level or MS/MBA equivalent in related field preferred
