Job Description

Position Description
• Lead the creation and implementation of a market development focused primarily on continuous glucose monitoring and its interface with insulin pump therapy.

Position Responsibilities
• Assess the market; identify barriers to physician and health care channel adoption.
• Develop and implement the market development plan for the US and support global team members with their implementation activities. Understand and leverage existing and new clinical evidence.
• Develop programs to increase demand for insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring therapies among health care professionals and patients. Tactics will be implemented across functions and will maximize the short and long term potential of the global diabetes business. Programs will include physician marketing, health care professional co-marketing and direct to patient. Collaborate with internal functions and market development teams outside the US on program design and implementation.
• Partner with sales organization to develop and implement strategies to allow the sales force to leverage market growth opportunities. Partner with diabetes strategic alliance partners to develop and execute joint market development strategies and programs.
• Develop and measure global market development key performance indicators. Develop indicators to assess progress toward therapy adoption. Use data to identify key issues and opportunities. Present information and implications to other groups and management. Maintain market development information, measures, and status.
• Participate in budget development process. Manage assigned, approved budget. Report variances.

 

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum of eight (8) years progressively responsible related marketing experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry
• Demonstrated experience developing programs that influence physician and patient behavior
• Four (4) years demonstrated experience working across functional teams
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, including verbal, written and presentation skills
• Demonstrated ability to present material appropriate to the level of the audience
• Excellent planning and analytical (financial & marketing) skills

 

Desired/Preferred Qualifications
• MBA preferred
• Diabetes experience preferred (medical sales, clinical or marketing programs)

 

Physical Job Requirements
• Ability to travel domestically up to 30%
