 SENIOR ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST II / RESEARCH SCIENTIST

 

The qualified candidate will be a part of the Chemistry and Separations group of the R&D Analytical Development and will provide analytical expertise and support for the development of new biological products and processes from discovery research through licensing. Other responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing and validating chemistry and separations-based analytical techniques used to analyze both small and macromolecules

  • Preparing documentation for regulatory submissions 

  • Working closely with various groups involved in the characterization and testing of new and existing protein products, including Research, Product Development, Quality and Regulatory Affairs

  • Writing methods, protocols and reports in support of test method development, validation and transfer and drug product development

 

 

This position requires you working between Clayton and NCSU Centennial Campus.

Job Requirements

Education requirements are as followed:

 

  • PhD with minimal experience, a MS with minimum of 4 years relevant experience or a B.S. with minimum of 6 years relevant experience.

 

Degree must be in Chemistry, Biochemistry or a related course of study. Relevant experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical field is preferred. The successful candidate will have experience with analytical techniques for biologicals, including but not limited to HPLC and spectrophotometric analyses.  In addition, experience with LC/MS, IC, GC, and GC/MS and test method development and validation per ICH guidelines is desired. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential as the candidate must be able to work effectively in a multi-departmental team environment.
