As a Tax Professional, you will be expected to:
•Assume tax preparation responsibility for complex returns
•Begin and complete tax research projects, including the ability to present findings in a clear, concise, understandable written form
•Act as a resource for junior tax preparers and audit staff on specific tax issues and questions
•Assume client service responsibility for clients
•Manage time effectively. This includes the ability to manage multiple engagements at one time and meet deadlines
•Assist in the development and motivation of junior staff
•Maintain knowledge of general economic and political trends; be aware of possible tax or other legislation that may effect the general business environment
•Possess strong computer skills, including the ability to work with Lacerte tax software
Requirements
• At least 3 years prior public accounting experience
• An undergraduate or graduate degree in Accounting;
• CPA license preferred
• Strong research and writing skills
• Excellent project management skills
• Strong client interaction skills
• Strong organization and computer skills
• Dedication to teamwork and leadership
• Integrity within a professional environment
• Energy and drive necessary to keep up during peak periods and motivate yourself during slower periods
