Apprentice Technician

Firestone Complete Auto Care a Division of BFS Retail & Commercial Operations, LLC (BFRC) employs over 23,000 teammates in North America. The store locations include Firestone Tire & Service Centers, Tires Plus, Expert Tire, Mark Morris, and GCR Tire Centers offering truck tire sales, service and retreading outlets for truck and bus, off the road and agricultural tires.

As a Tire / Maintenance Technician you assist other Technicians in technical activities as described below.

Tire / Maintenance Technicians:

  • Learn how to diagnose and repair basic systems to become certified in a minimum of 5 areas with a preference for brakes, alignments, suspensions, cooling and electrical
  • Change oil and/or transmission fluid and filters
  • Install batteries and checks electrical systems
  • Install and perform tire maintenance
  • Install parts which include shock absorbers and exhaust systems
  • Road test vehicles

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn basic mechanical tasks
  • A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills
