1.) Mechanical Engineer
- General Packaging Automation
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
·
BS Mechanical Engineering (packaging focus) or
equivalent technical experience
·
10+ years of industry experience (food &
beverage and/or consumer packaged goods- CPG) from bulk product handling
through palletizing •Capitol project management experience
·
You must have recent experience and be
comfortable presenting proposals and information to customers at all levels.
Specific familiarity with the
following:
·
Liquid or solid filling and loading systems
(i.e. bottle fillers, vertical and horizontal form-fill seal equipment HFFS,
VFFS)
·
Individual product packaging and wrapping
systems
·
Case erection equipment and case packing
equipment as well as partition inserters Inspection and rejection systems to
check for seal quality, fill weight/height, label placement, etc.
·
High speed palletizing, stretch wrapping systems
and pallet conveyors
·
Various conveyor types and appropriate
applications for handling specific types of materials (i.e. open product,
wrapped product, cased, pallets, etc.)
·
Ancillary packaging line equipment such as bulk
glue delivery systems, balers, container and case coders
·
Understanding of balanced line flow for
packaging systems
·
Familiarity with sanitary design standards for
food packaging systems
Preferred Qualifications:
•15+ years of industry relevant experience
•PE registration or ability to obtain
•Formal project management certification
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting site surveys to evaluate existing client
conditions
Performing field data gathering and documentation in order
to develop capital project submittals.
Perform existing packaging system line audits, analyze
results, develop recommendations for improvements, prepare reports, and submit
all required documentation to your customer.
Prepare detailed engineering calculations, construction cost
estimates, design package handling systems, review project drawings and
submittals, and coordinate project work with vendors and equipment suppliers.
Equipment inspection, check-out and acceptance testing at
vendor facilities and field installation support to include; performing
equipment commissioning and providing equipment start-up support are a regular
function of this role.
Present proposals and /or project information to clients at
all levels.
Coach and Mentor other engineers and designers
Travel is expected and will be regularly required. Anticipate

2.) Mechanical Engineer – High Speed Beverage
Packaging / Container Handling
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- BS
Mechanical Engineering (packaging focus) or related
- 10 –
15 years high speed container handling / packaging automation experience.
- Full
Line beverage equipment expertise from De-palletize through Stretch Wrap.
1000 - 2000 units per minute
- Conveyor
/ material handling systems to handle empty and full containers and cases
at the filling rates noted above
- Material
delivery systems including pallet conveyor and lift tables to packers
- Ancillary
packaging line equipment such as bulk glue delivery systems, balers,
container and case coders, container dryers
- Understanding
of balanced line flow for beverage lines
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Packaging
Team Leadership role, but no direct reports
- Travel
as required for OEM visits, equipment installations and start-ups
- Conduct
site surveys to evaluate existing conditions
- Prepare
engineering calculations and construction cost estimates
- Design
package handling systems
- Review
project drawings and submittals
- Coordinate
project work with applicable vendors and equipment suppliers
