Description
Senior Buyer of Fashion Jewelry Objective:
Looking for a talented, driven and experienced Senior Fashion Jewelry Buyer to join the Charming Charlie merchant team.
Core Responsibilities:
Product selection including identifying potential brand and product business opportunities
Develop merchandising strategies that successfully deliver specific category goals by staying current on customer purchasing and product movement trends.
Build direct relationships with key suppliers, driving sales and margin improvements.
Effectively develop product assortment plans that maximize inventory productivity while ensuring proper receipt flow of merchandise.
Stay on top of industry and competitive trends while executing at both a tactical and strategic level to drive selection, sales and margin growth.
Effectively lead and communicate with vendors, the internal buying group, marketing and upper management.
Directly supervise, coach and mentor Buyers, Associate Buyers and Assistants with clear career paths and developmental plans.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
5 plus years buying experience in fashion jewelry
Broad based business acumen with potential to grow to DMM level
Experience with product development and sourcing
Strategic thought leadership, cross functional team collaboration and influence
Strong analytical, financial and strategic planning skills
Ability to think and react in a high energy, fast paced environment
Exhibit strong sense of urgency while pursuing ALL business opportunities
