About Us

Hospice Care Options provides end of life care to individuals with terminal illness.

Responsibilities of Registered Nurse Include :

An individual who is responsible for the provision of skilled nursing assessment on admission (initial visit), reassessments, development/implementation/revision of the plan of care, and delivery of “hands-on” care in order to maximize the comfort and health of patients and families consistent with agency policies and procedures.
The Hospice Registered Nurse is an integral part of the Hospice IDT.

Requirements for Registered Nurse:

Educational Requirements

Possess a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the state of operations.

Experience Requirements

Minimum of two (2) years of varied work experience as a professional nurse and preferably one of the two years in an acute, oncology, home health, and/or hospice setting.

Skilled Requirements

Possess a valid driver’s license in the state of agency operations.
Ability to either drive or have available reliable transportation and present evidence of valid automobile liability insurance.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and to comprehend written and verbal communication.
Ability to operate computer equipment, fax, and copier machines is preferred.
Ability to work flexible schedule.
Ability to work well within an interdisciplinary team setting as well as independently.
Ability to work with patients and families dealing with life-threatening illness and death.
Ability to assess and respond to the needs of patients and families in varied settings.
Demonstrates skill in nursing practice, ability to cope with family emotional stress and tolerance of individual lifestyles.
Ability to make meaningful observations and write comprehensive, accurate reports.
