• Reports to assigned machine and/or machines each day upon arrival.
• Communicates with previous shift inspector packer for temperament of the machine, in addition to any recent instruction changes.
• Completes Defect Analysis worksheets.
• Enters “O" on the machine counter.
• Verifies that necessary packaging materials are present at the machine, including labels.
• Verifies instruction for the job.
• Diligently inspects each product produced, which may require removal of product from machine (opening door), for any shorts, contamination, and/or deficiencies. Determines the quality of the product, packs product according to the instructions or discards from the scrap material.
• Tends multiple machines run automatically.
• Manually separates parts from runners and sprues.
• Perform visual inspections listed on the Part Quality Plan.
• Performs special hand packaging, as well as, unique packaging methods, layer packs and plastic bags.
• Able to use manual gate cutters and razor knife to properly trim flash in selected areas.
• Record appropriate good, bad, and questionable parts on a daily basis.
• Required to maintain a neat and clean workstation.
• Performs duties as required and requested based on the business needs.
• Assigned door jobs.
• Performs simple assemblies.
• Performs simple gate cutting or loading parts into special cooling fixture.
• Accurately places a sun-strate or insert into the mold for over molding or insert molding.
• Capable to operate jobs requiring openings of press door in a timely fashion, as not to prolong the door openings for distances to additional parts.
• Performs complex assemblies comprised of multiple parts.
