Description

The company is a rapidly developing and innovative manufacturer of pet products located in the South/Midwest part of the country. The company is growing revenues, overall product development, and venues of distribution including Wal-Mart and other major mass market retailers, pet specialty retailers, drug accounts, and other specialty retailers.

The company is creating a new leadership position which is being developed to focus on the management of overall product innovation and the coordination of design projects, and engineering projects. This position will coordinate all buying and Chinese sourcing as well. In addition, this person will work on product introduction programs including place, price, and promotional plans. An ability to manage business by the numbers is key.

The Product Marketing Leader will manage a Product Manager who develops product, pricing and promotional plans, two Project Managers (assistant product managers) who work on placement and product specific initiatives, and an Engineer who formally develops product specifications and communicates with Chinese manufacturing.

Requirements We are seeking someone with a minimum of 5-7 years of classic marketing management/product management and leadership experience in a pet products or a consumer products manufacturing environment willing to relocate and help develop strategy and direction for a rapidly growing manufacturer.
