Job Description 

We operate a large distribution center in Burlington, NJ and have an immediate need for a 2nd shift (3:30 pm to 12:00 am) Yard Driver with a Class A CDL License. The Yard Driver contributes to the goal of exceptional customer service. Must be able to work independently and be willing to operate a forklift in the warehouse operation when not performing Yard Driver duties. Must demonstrate good customer service skills and have working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations and be able to adhere to these rules. Must have a minimum of 1 year experience with a valid Class A CDL and be able to pass DOT Physical and Drug Test.

 


Job Requirements 

The qualified candidate should be able to safely drive a commertial motor vehicle (tractor and trailer), maintain all DOT required licenses and documentation, complete all necessary DOT paperwork, load and unload vehicles, verify orders to ensure the correct order is loaded, understand and follow all company safety and operational policies and procedures, safely operate a forklift or other machinery in order to complete tasks such as loading , unloading, sorting, staging and transporting products, provide and inspire outstanding customer service and work cooperatively with peers and management.

At an absolute minimum, the qualified candidate should have a high school diploma or its equivalent, be 21 years of age or older, be able to pass a road test, have an acceptable driving record per the Incident Table, achieve acceptable responses to Previous Employment Verifications, pass the drug, background checks and pre-employment test (if applicable), at least one (1) year of experience driving a tractor trailer (during the past three (3) years), have a current CDL and must pass a DOT physical exam.
