Friday/Saturday/Sunday-10 hour days, benefit eligible-no experience necessary, but preferred. Operate and maintain our washers and dryers to keep our residents' clothing clean, and all the linens used in our facility squeaky clean and sanitary! Responsibilities: - Sort, wash, dry, fold and iron linens and residents' clothing
- Deliver clean linen and residents' clothing to rooms; stock linen closets and carts for nursing units and return linen barrels to the laundry
- Discard stained, torn or otherwise unacceptable linen
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary work area
- Perform equipment cleaning such as removing detergent build-up in washers and cleaning lint traps in dryers
- Perform other tasks as assigned

- The Laundry Aide must be able to speak/read/write in English, be patient and polite, and learn infection control techniques. Will also learn the operation of washing machines, dryers and associated equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Effective communication with residents, their families and at all levels of the organization is important. A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
