For more company information please go to: walgreens.com The ideal candiate will: Develop, coordinate, maintain, and analyze a broad spectrum of performance measures for Logistics. These metrics include vendor scorecard, vendor compliance prioritization, and DC receiving performance. - Develop queries and reports to review and analyze the flow of orders, and delivery of merchandise from vendors to distribution centers. - Work directly with vendors; Logistics, Marketing, and Purchasing departments; and distribution centers to identify, review, resolve, and improve shipping compliance issues. - Accurately determine each vendor's order cycle, which is basis for PO ship to arrive date. - Develop and implement vendor compliance improvements, focused on establishing a consistent order cycle. - Add value by successfully reducing safety stock.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are necessary; data analysis experience preferred. - PC experience is required; knowledge with developing queries in EXCEL, ACCESS, SQL, and the AS400 is preferred. - Must be independent, flexible, detail oriented, and a problem solver, with the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. -Bachelor's degree preferred or 2-3 years Experience, especially in Distribution, Transportation, or Purchasing is a plus.
