Job Description

More than 12,000 customers worldwide rely on Deltek to measure business results, optimize performance, streamline operations and win new business.Deltek is seeking a Marketing Specialist to work in our dynamic Marketing organization! This position will be supporting the Chief Marketing Officer by providing clerical, administration and special projects support including fielding CMO phone calls, maintaining the CMO schedule/calendar, setting-up team meetings, sending faxes, helping pack and ship boxes, picking up packages from front desk, and making copies.The position will also be supporting the Sr. Director, Marketing Operations by providing operational, analytical and special projects support including forecasting, budgeting and reporting of Marketing spend (labor and programs).Responsible for:
  • Developing and maintaining Excel-based business tools to streamline processes and operations.
  • Manages the Marketing Business Office mailbox to research, track and resolve operational business items.
  • Processes invoices for payment, providing appropriate account coding and verifying approvals.
  • Tracks all charges to the marketing corporate card and reconciles the monthly statement for processing.
  • Performs specific accounting close cycle functions - accruals, reconciliations, and roll-forwards.
  • Responsible for submitting bi-weekly forecast.
  • Maintains files for the marketing operations function.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • An ideal opportunity for an entry-level candidate with a strong desire to launch their Marketing career, a BS degree in marketing or business required.
  • One to two years of experience desirable.
  • Proven, strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook which will be frequently used with advanced proficiency.
  • Experience with Mac a plus.
  • Requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
