Job Description
MAJOR FUNCTION:Directs and oversees organization’s marketing policies, objectives and initiatives. Lead the Region’s Marketing Services team for the support, service and innovation of products and services relative to Advertising Sales.
  • Responsible for all aspects of Marketing Services relative to Advertising Sales in the Region.
  • Responsible for Marketing Services team throughout Region with direct reports including the Managers of Research, Marketing, Marketing Generalists and Promotions.
  • Responsible for strategic development impacting National, Regional and Local aspects of Advertising Sales business. Work with Vice Presidents, Sales Directors/GMs to aid Account Executives to achieve revenue goals.
  • Establishes all aspects of best practices, policies and procedures for Marketing services in the Region.
  • Responsible for ongoing development, including corporate support and maintenance of a consistent Advertising Sales image and brand. This includes all collateral materials, paper and electronic presentations and packaging, rate cards, mapping, research presentations, promotions presentations, online communications, media kits, production both online and offline.
  • Direct promotional opportunities for region.
  • Direct research integration for region.
  • Work with Product Development leadership to establish sales opportunities to maximize the products revenue stream.
  • Responsible for directing the leveraging of all aspects of Ad Sales business to create new packaging for advertising clients throughout the Region.
  • Work with the VPs of Operations and Region VPs and Directors to maximize revenue opportunities through segmentation of inventory designed to isolate individual client parameters and goals and departmental goals
  • Responsible for annual recommendation to the Senior Vice President of the Region, the appropriate products and budgets required for Promotions, Research, Marketing, and Marketing Generalist teams.
  • Responsible for managing expenses in the Promotions, Marketing, Marketing Generalists and Research categories throughout Region.
  • Responsible for all major vendor contracts relative to Research, Promotions and Marketing including those corporately initiated. Responsible for supporting Corporate with any software initiation and rollout as well as approving all applicable advertising sales related software locally for the Central Region.SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred.
  • 10+ years in marketing/media with strategic planning history.
  • Management experience required.
  • Strong knowledge and skill level in Promotions, Research and Marketing applications.
  • Demonstrate ability to coordinate projects with multiple departments and vendors.
  • High level of project planning, development and implementation.
  • Ability to organize and control workflow, train and instruct individuals.
  • Must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to follow through on multiple tasks.
