In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, be involved in long-term planning, contribute to the overall strategy, and manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise. Essential ResponsibilitiesResponsible for Plant / Equipment Constructability improvements, including: Develop advanced field construction operations, construction sequence optimization Drive optimization for plant spatial interface design requirements, and promote “build-to-print” alternatives where applicable Coordinate with the civil / structural experts to pre-design/modularize potential plant sub-structures (main pedestal, building structure) Drive Standardized equipment footprints; modular equipment designs; optimized assembly sequence Support the product department as well as suppliers in generation and implementation of design for constructability improvements
Qualifications/Requirements Advanced degree in Civil or Mechanical EngineeringAt least 10 years of engineering experience At least 5 years of construction experience in the power plant or petrochemical industrySix Sigma Green Belt (GE employees only)ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENT:Ability to travel approximately 25% of the timePlease submit your application for employment through gecareers.com to be consideredWilling to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection processPossess unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
