Physical Therapist

We are currently seeking Physical Therapists to join our team on an as needed basis to cover for vacation and absences in a per diem role. This position is located at our employee health center in San Diego, CA. Responsibilities include:

• Tests and measures patient’s strength, motor development, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiencies and records findings to develop or revise treatment programs.
• Administers manual exercises to improve and maintain function.
• Instructs, motivates, and assists patient to perform various physical activities and in use of assistant and supportive devices such as crutches.
• Administers treatments involving application of physical agents.
• Records treatment, response, and progress in patient’s chart or enters information into computer.
• Confers with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate physical therapy treatment with other aspects of patient’s health care.

While working at this large employer site, you will have the ability to get to know your patients, while helping to improve their health status and taking care of their immediate health needs. The health center is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.

• Current licensure, and/or applicable certification, and a minimum of 2 years experience in occupational or emergency medicine.
• Outpatient orthopedic experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required for PT.
• Current BLS or CPR required.
• Knowledge of computer and medical software also required.
