Position Description Fidelity Investments Institutional Services Company (FIIS) provides investment management services through investment professionals at financial institutions nationwide, including wirehouses, regional and independent broker/dealers, banks, trust companies and insurance companies. FIIS also provides Cash and Liquidity Management solutions for corporations, higher education and non-profit organizations We are currently seeking highly motivated individuals to join our expanding Inside Sales team as a Regional Investment Consultant in our Cash Division - Corporate Direct. The successful candidate will be responsible for prospecting and developing relationships with our direct clients, with the focus on building sales momentum in our Fidelity Institutional Money Market product line. The Regional Investment Consultant's role in partnering with their clients, both in the field and on the sales desks, will be essential to acquiring, developing and retaining profitable client relationships. Each day, the RIC spends time focusing on top producers and conducts business via the phone building relationships with prospects and clients in their territory. Regional Investment Consultant's are on the phone proactively covering their client base. The RIC's task during downtime is to effectively segment and target calling efforts to develop strong relationships and generate new sales. The RIC's responsibility is to determine the needs of their clients through probing questions, present solutions to this need, and ask for an appropriate action. Primary Responsibilities - Work as a part of a team in a high- paced, energetic sales environment.
- Utilize a needs based sales process to determine client/prospect needs and presenting product line solutions that fit those needs.
- Proactively contacting existing clients and prospects to educate them on the Fidelity Institutional Money Market (FIMM) product line
- Partner with one or more field wholesalers, responsible for driving Fidelity Institutional Money Market (FIMM) fund sales within a defined territory of corporate, higher education and non-profit organizations
- Present conceptual sales ideas to client's via phone and face to face presentations
Education and Experience - Requires 3-5 years sales experience with a financial services background
- Cash and Liquidity Management experience in money markets and money market type instruments preferred
- Business to business sales experience preferred
- Ability to interface with senior level management at our clients
- Bachelors Degree required
- Series 7 & 63 required
Skills and Knowledge - Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
- Strong prospecting skills
- Strong relationship management experience
- Thorough understanding of sales process
- Knowledge of Fidelity's Institutional Money Market funds preferred
- Knowledge of the money market competitors and products
- Deep knowledge of the local and national economy and financial markets activity
- Strong territory management skills
- Self-Motivated / Competitive attitude
- Ability to adapt to a flexible working environment
