    A.EDUCATIONHigh school diploma or equivalent.B.EXPERIENCE One year of medical record experience required.Must be consistently accurate at all times in identifying and obtaining correct patient medical records and/or information and entering chart number and location on computer locator system.C.LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONNone.D.EQUIPMENT/SKILLSMust be knowledgeable of both alpha and numeric filing systems. Must know where and how to search for medical records and the sequence of steps in locating medical records throughout the various areas within Medical Records and the hospital. Has a knowledge of good body mechanics and safety actions and uses them. Knows DG functions, IBM, IMS, and Carelink systems as appropriate. Knowledge of Medical Terminology.E.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity. Must be able to operate CRT, microfilm reader-printer and all office machines.Large amount of walking, stooping, climbing stairs and use of a step ladder. Sitting is only involved when entering on CRT, intermittently.Employee is under constant pressure to obtain records and/or information quickly and accurately often under difficult situations of accessing and retrieving from congested areas. Clean, well-ventilated, well-lit working areas.F.OTHERConfidentiality of patient information must be maintained at all times. Must be able to perform all duties in an environment of high pressure while maintaining the highest levels of customer satisfaction. Must also successfully complete the pre-employment/post-employment job offer health screening examination and the annual screening each year thereafter as an Associate.
