Job Description
The Senior Manager of Special Loans manages all aspects of the day-to-day operations for the Special Loans department. The Special Loans Senior Manager ensures that proper controls exist for timely and accurate processing while maintaining an environment focused on quality customer service and production.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the department workflow - monitor daily productivity, ensures proper controls and procedures are followed, makes staffing and workload adjustments based on volumes, and ensures that all activities are completed in compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Manage relationships between internal business partners maintaining open communication lines, ensuring strategic partner satisfaction.
  • Manage outsourcing partners monitor daily productivity, ensures proper controls and procedures are followed, reconciles monthly billing, holds monthly vendor calls, completes quarterly and annual vendor reviews, and ensures that all activities are completed in compliance with regulatory and policy requirements.
  • Continuously monitor, analyze, and seek to maximize productivity and accuracy through streamlining, redesigning, and managing various processes by establishing an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Develop staff and performs the following: coaches and mentors staff, ensures formalized training and employee development plans are in place. Develops tools to improve performance in the form of performance evaluations and performance feedback sessions to maintain an environment that maximizes staff success and retention.
  • Manage personnel issues, including setting performance expectations and conducting performance reviews. Providing incentives, recognition/rewards, motivating and helping staff set and meet goals. Resolve problems/issues including progressive discipline for staff.
  • Stay within prescribed monthly and yearly budgets.

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES:
  • Provide human resources with appropriate paperwork and information on employee's attendance.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by management.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the individual assistance, growth and development of team members.
  • Prompt and accurate responses on questions from team members and/or borrowers.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • Management experience required
  • Special Loans experience preferred.
  • Experience in a professional office environment.
  • 6 months similar or related experience.
