Senior Treasury Analyst 

Job Description

Central person responsible for monitoring and assessing the risk associated with securitization mark-to-markets of residual assets and associated hedges.  This role provides key support for our Treasurer in the execution of his responsibilities.   Specific duties include:

• Constructing a roadmap through partial durations analysis that will predict changes in value related to interest rate movements
• Assessing actual behavior by comparing to analytical predictions and liaising with valuation analysts to understand changes related to market movements and asset characteristics
• Champion process improvements around valuation analysis, forecasting and attribution
• Lead certain processes such as 1) floor option model and 2) bond valuation  
• Assist in the creation of asset/liability packages to determine the inherent risk of the Student Loan portfolio
• Predict the mark to market impact of residual assets and hedges
  
• Attribute actual valuation to performance benchmarks
  
• Assist in asset/liability analysis for senior management
  
• Deliver process improvements related to the analysis of securitization valuation results
  
• Responsible to provide Finance management with comfort re the valuations and control processes regarding trust activities and related hedging activities
  

Job Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred
  
• 6 to 10 years of progressive experience with solid knowledge of treasury, capital markets and financial analysis
• Strong knowledge of middle office treasury, portfolio management or hedge funds
• Strong Excel, Access and PowerPoint skills, DBC skills a plus
• Ability to think "outside of the box" and apply judgment when reviewing output; critical thinking is essential
• Utilizes strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, influencing skills and the ability to interact with senior management regarding complex topics
