Corporate Center partners with the business divisions to ensure that the firm operates as an effective and integrated whole with a common vision and set of values.DescriptionUBS Investment Bank is seeking a financial analyst to work as part of the Equity Prime Services Product Control team. This is a new role within the group that will be focused on:
- Supporting the transition of the P&L production process onto the strategic platform (FDR)
- Driving the architecture and design of P&L explain for the Prime Services Business
- Liaise with product controllers and the Change team in order to implement the strategic toolset
- Develop consolidated Balance Sheet reporting bridging the gap between the Business view and Financial Statements
- Analysis and reporting of RWA, funding and capital charges for the Prime Services Business
Due to this being a newly created role, the individual will be expected to help define and shape the future of the Decision Support team. To this end, the successful candidate will need to be self motivated, be able to work independently and have a track record of delivery.
Client:The role requires a strong working relationship with the equity business, who is regarded as the primary client. Other internal clients include Financial Reporting, Market Risk, Compliance, Legal, Tax, Operations and senior management. A key objective of the role is to add value to the equity business in terms of greater transparency in reporting.
People:The Product Control group has a strong teamwork ethic. The role requires a commitment to the support and development of individuals within the team and to work co-operatively with colleagues in the group.
Economic:As a member of the Finance & Control function, there is a strong emphasis on supporting the bottom line results. Contribution takes the form of eliminating control weaknesses, enhancing cost control and process efficiency and contributing to the overall profitability of the equity business.
Functional/Technical:The role requires strong product and process knowledge. Appropriate training is provided through on-the-job and formal training programmes. Once completed, the candidate is expected to apply this knowledge in controlling the equity business and furthering the client, people and economic objectives of the Product Control group.Requirements
- Four year bachelors degree or international equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting or audit experience, preferably in the banking sectorPreferred Qualifications
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Business Objects Skills essential
- Ability to drive projects to completion
