Test Engineer, Sr. - TX (02033)
Job: Technical Support
Make a Difference Test Engineer, Sr Parsons provides mission critical solutions to the US government. Our landmark planning, environmental, engineering, construction, and facility operation programs have supported federally-funded chemical weapons demilitarization, military installations and ranges, space exploration, missile defense, aviation, and sustainability programs. Our services also support homeland security initiatives and reconstruction efforts after man-made or natural disasters. Duties & Responsibilities Serve as the Test Team Leader over the assigned Test Engineers who are responsible for testing various IT systems. The Senior Test Engineer is a subject matter expert providing testing expertise for support of user requirements of complex to highly complex software applications or IT systems. Directs and/or participates in all phases of risk management assessments and software/hardware development with emphasis on analysis of user requirements, test design and test tools selection. Responsible for ensuring that the test design and documentation support all applicable client, agency, or industry's standards, time lines, and budgets. Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are fully supported by test documentation of test results in the proper logs and/or tracking systems. The Senior Test Engineer also participates in selected phases of risk management assessment and software or IT system development under the direction of more experienced personnel. May participate in the development of test scripts and is responsible for ensuring proper execution of those test scripts. Responsible for ensuring that testing conclusions and recommendations are supported by test results. Responsible for or assists in the analysis of test results and documents conclusions. Experience & Qualifications
- Clearance: Candidate must possess TS/SCI with counter intelligence (CI) polygraph clearance.
- Bachelors degree from a recognized 4 year university or equivalent experience. BS in Computer Science preferred, plus
- A minimum of three years experience in network, data center and network security testing scenarios
- Must have experience with network management systems including HP OpenView Network Node Manager and OpenView Performance Insight
- Proof of US citizenship is required
