Job Description 

Provides timely and effective responses to internal and external customers and suppliers regarding failed systems and system components to ensure Hypertherm meets on-time to promise commitments.
Responsibilities & Duties
  • Provides support for manufacturing test failures through conducting advanced testing, troubleshooting and repair of fully assembled products down to the component level to identify root cause and correct source of failure.
  • Provides support for RMA repair through conducting advanced testing, troubleshooting and repair.
  • Collect, enter and provide integrity of data into Oracle quality database to identify failure trends, and enable component, process and procedure improvements to enhance product robustness.
  • Supports and maintains new and existing test equipment and related procedures. Assist in the development of manufacturing process procedures (standard work).
  • Supports other projects as assigned. (e.g., manufacturing interface to engineering for manufacturing process improvements through the ECO process).

Qualifications

  • AS degree, Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • 4 years experience in related field
Skills
  • Advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency with digital and analog electronics
  • Proficiency with data acquisition equipment (oscilloscopes and logic analyzers)
  • Ability to understand and interpret complicated schematics, blueprints, bill of materials, assemblies and drawings
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Proficient with Windows Operating Systems
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools
  • Basic understanding of microcontroller based products
