Outside of daily work in the main medical center, a typical day for a YKHC professional could consist of making small trips througout Bethel and the Y-K Delta region (an area the size of Oregon) to treat residents in the 56 villages and four subregional clinics we serve. You'll enjoy working with and getting to know a diverse mix of delta residents and experience an array of medical conditions and procedures you would normally not encounter in the lower 48 states.

This position provides assessments and supervision of assessments to clients of the Personal Care Services Program in the Yukon-Kuskokwim Delta.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Registered Nurse eligible for licensure in the state of Alaska, valid Alaska driver's license, and current CPR or able to obtain.
- Two years prior experience in nursing. Experience with case management with home care/health background, preferred.
- Preferred candidate will be those who like and have experience teaching CNA/PCA students
- In addition, must be licensed in good standing in the State of Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current CPR.
- Current Alaska driver's license.
- Travel is required for this position.
