Mechanical Engineer

Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

The mechanical engineer will inspect/audit facility baseline documentation in each facility to ensure it meets requirements for critical, complex or hazardous facilities.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Ensuring each facility or laboratory manager has the required facility baseline documentation.

  • Review the status of the facility baseline documentation during readiness reviews or inspections to ensure it meets established criteria

  • Compile report of any discrepancies found during inspection/audit and communicate to the responsible facility or laboratory manager for corrective action

  • Inspection/audits of facility baseline documentation may include : Configuration control documentation; General operating procedures; Detailed procedures for machinery or systems; Safety documentation; Training documentation; and Maintenance documentation.



    Job Requirements

    Required Skills and Education

  • 1+ years work experience in the engineering field, (facilities maintenance or management experience preferred)

  • Bachelor�s of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, (REQUIRED)

  • PC skills with general Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)

  • Excellent writing skills and experience summarizing finds into comprehensive reports.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with persons from all levels within facility

  • Able to obtain clearance and be badged to work onsite at a government facility

    You must live within a commutable distance of Houston/Clear Lake, Texas area. No relocation or per diem is offered with this position. This is a 1+ year contract with expected renewal.
