Job Description
Job Summary:   The purpose of this position is to serve as the course coordinator for the American Heart Association (AHA) Training Center which includes, hiring and evaluation staff, supply purchasing and course scheduling.  The incumbent will represent the Training Center and the College in the community by participating in local, state and national organizations to promote American Heart Association courses. Essential Duties: 
  • Schedules courses and instructors for AHA Training Center courses and events.
  • Assists the marketing department with the development of advertising and marketing ideas for the Training Center.
  • Collaborates the Program Chair in areas of budget development and financial Management of AHA programs.
  • Oversees and coordinates the hiring, training and evaluating of job performance for Training Center instructors and staff. 
  • Teaches AHA courses. Provides supervision and evaluation of student learning experiences.
  • Participates in local, state and national organizations to promote the Training Center.
  • Demonstrates a high standard of professional and ethical conduct and practice that students may emulate.
  • Actively promotes the aims of the College.
  •  


Job Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Experience:

 

  • Healthcare delivery experience. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with others and build and maintain good relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Experience providing leadership and/or training for others preferred.

License/Certification:

  • AHA certifications preferred.
  • Emergency Services certifications preferred.
