Advanced knowledge of discipline's standard theories, concepts, principles and techniques including thermodynamics and heat transfer principles. A working knowledge of pertinent engineering practices and their application, and an understanding of both prescriptive and performance-based fire analysis approaches. Familiarity and experience with national building codes and the NFPA Codes is required. Experience with fire codes is required. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years experience in Fire Protection Engineering. Candidates must have experience in the nuclear industry or commercial/heavy industrial industry. Due to the nature of this work, all candidates must be US Citizens. Must be able to obtain and retain a DOE security clearance in support of the work activities.
