3rd Shift Production Supervisor

Description Major Responsibilities:
I. Supervision of the Packaging Department
a. Oversee the performance of the Packaging Department personnel.
b. Screen and interview potential candidates for employment
c. Train new employees on Job Safety Analysis, Standard Operating Procedures, cGood Manufacturing Principles and safety procedures
d. Handle all packaging department personnel issues including disciplinary actions and requests for time off based on company policy.
e. Direct and coordinate the activities and work schedules of the employees to meet production goals and budgeted labor requirements.
f. Responsible for quality of products produced.

II. Housekeeping
a. Responsible for overall housekeeping of the packaging line areas, pallet wrapping areas as well as cleanliness of floors and designated common areas.

III. Manage the payroll and attendance system for employees
a. Verify, edit and approve timecards for direct reports
b. Run various reports off of the payroll system i.e. Vacation, Punch Detail, Late reports etc.

IV. Training & Development
a. Attend and participate in company-sponsored training sessions and meetings as required.
b. Train and mentor subordinates to assume leadership roles

Education and Work Experience Required:
Bachelor�s Degree or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing facility. At least 2 years of that experience should be in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Knowledge of cGMP and safety practices is preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. The ability to read and write in English. Basic math skills and computer literate. Excellent mentoring and coaching skills.
