Description JOB FUNCTION - REQUIREMENTS - SUCCESS FACTORS (Why job exists, what areas it impacts on, requirements to do the job, and Success Factors)
 
Primary in-house liaison between PPG and customers responsible for leading and managing all aspects of internal activities related to sales and customer service.. This position interfaces with all departments and levels of management within the business.
 
Functions:
a)     New Orders and Programs: Lead and prepare responses to Requests for Quote (RFQ's) and Requests for Price (RFP's); develop pricing for new programs; lead contract reviews for new orders; enter & manage Sales Orders; ensure compliance with Export Control requirements.
b)     Existing Orders and Programs: Review changes to purchase orders to determine acceptability and impact; coordinate & manage activities to implement customer or internally initiated change (i.e. PO changes, drawing revisions, ATP changes) and attain proper approvals for such changes; communicate status of orders; manage price lists and yearly pricing escalations for assigned programs and customers; develop plans to address customer complaints and requests for corrective action; coordinate internal meetings & action items related to customer issues; coordinate product support inquires from customers and assure proper response in timely manner; coordinate with appropriate internal functions to properly disposition returns/customer rejections and respond to customer appropriately.
c)     Business/Market Development: Prepare and coordinate program related presentations; attend and represent PPG at trade shows, promotions, and seminars; perform market research studies as requested; assist with Business Strategy Reviews and other Platform business needs.
d)     Demand Management: Work with production scheduling/supply chain management to ensure alignment between customer request dates and manufacturing schedule dates; allocation of shipments; enter and manage forecasts for specific programs; monitor manufacturing delivery performance and coordinate with Supply Chain to address delivery issues and develop recovery plans. 
e)     Administration/Other: Daily customer communication; filing and records management; coordinate and manage customer visits & visits made to the customer; assist Accounts Receivables in resolving customer payment issues; attend KPI meetings; request and process credit releases on sales orders; issue RMA's, request credit memos for returns, and issue replacements; develop and issue internal business process procedures; other duties as assigned.
Requirements Requires: Bachelors Degree in business or related field, a minimum of 5 years of customer service or marketing experience Dataflo/MfgPro experience preferred, strong interpersonal skills - to communicate effectively with all customer levels (business principals, senior management, purchasing personnel, product users) , strong communications skills - in writing, IT presentations, public speaking and one to one negotiations, strong self-motivation, travel up to 30% -- may include international travel
