We are continuously in search of talent that can help advance our mission. Currently we are seeking Oncology Liaison Specialists located on the East Coast and West Coast. The Oncology Liaison Specialist will bridge the relationship between Oncology Investigators, the Clinical Monitoring team, Oncology Project Management and other Quintiles functional groups by serving as the Quintiles "ambassador" to oncology centers. Oncology Liaison Specialist will be experts in the current trends in oncology drug development advising the broader organization e.g. Project Management, Business Development, Access to Patients and Novaquest etc. as to the issues and needs of oncology investigators. The position will develop strategic relationships and build credibility with oncology staff in oncology facilities ensuring that Quintiles becomes the CRO of choice for Oncologists and customers. It will also provide insight and feedback internally related to efficiencies in the Quintiles execution of oncology research activities. Responsibilities: - Establish professional relationships with Oncologists as assigned and will interface with Quintiles project management, site relationship managers, business development and Innovex commercialization staff.
- Clearly understands current trends in oncology treatments and development across the range of oncology indications. This will require familiarity with the current literature and conference material.
- Attend oncology conferences as Quintiles Oncology Project Management Representative. Own relationship with national oncology networks, oncology collaborative groups and Academic Research Organizations.
- Visit investigators at sites within designated geography on a regular basis to update them on Quintiles oncology clinical trials as well as canvassing opinions and concerns to feed back to oncology project management and other Quintiles departments/business groups as relevant.
- Make regular formal presentations and reports to Oncology Project Management and relevant business groups on trends and issues "in the field".
- Identify and share best oncology clinical practices with Quintiles functional groups to facilitate improvement in oncology knowledge base and share with project management and business development as appropriate to include in new business proposals.
- Support project management, clinical operations and ATP in patient recruitment and contingency planning, outlining patient and treatment pathways and potential recruitment risks, e.g. local knowledge of competing trials and resource issues. Collaborate with the business development department to identify potential business opportunities and assists with the research for proposals that are being created.
- May provide support and information for the process of selection of sites and study placement.

Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field and 12 years clinical research experience with a minimum of 7 years in an oncology field or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. - Ideally the person should be a pharmacist or biomedical scientist with at least one post-graduate qualification in an oncology related field or a medic with a relevant board certification or equivalent or a nurse specialist practitioner/oncology nurse.
- Proven experience in working within the medical/scientific community. Experience as a Medical Liaison Specialist within the Pharmaceutical industry would be plus.
