Health Unit Coordinator (HUC)

Description Columbia St. Mary's, located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is comprised of four hospitals: Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Milwaukee, Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Columbia, Columbia St. Mary's Hospital Ozaukee, and Sacred Heart Rehabilitation Institute, as well as 39 primary care clinics, the Columbia College of Nursing, and a partnership with the Orthopaedic Hospital of Wisconsin. High school diploma or equivalent is requiredHealth Unit Coordinator-TRANSPORTER Responsibilities:

• Transports patients and related medical records, equipment, and supplies within CSM to ensure safe and efficient transportation. 
• Coordinates communication to effectively support internal and external customers in the delivery of patient care.

Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• American Heart Association-Healthcare Provider CPR certification required
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• 1 year experience in health care setting
• Graduate of Health Unit Coordinator program preferred
