Job Description:
This position is contingent upon successful award of the Missile Defense Agency Engineering and Services Support (MiDAESS) contract located at The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Huntsville, Alabama. The anticipated award date is November/December 2009. Positions will be primarily based in Huntsville, Alabama, but may require work at other MDA sites.The Principal Environmental Specialist conducts tests and field investigations to obtain data for use by the company, client and environmental and scientific personnel in determining sources and methods of controlling pollutants in air, water and soil.Responsibilities: Under minimal supervision, performs difficult and complex duties utilizing advanced techniques and an extensive and diversified knowledge of environmental principles. Utilizes independent decision-making regarding related problems and methods. In a supervisory capacity, plans, coordinates and directs a large project or a number of small projects with complex features. This position is the first level that includes direct supervision over a group of environmental specialists or includes an individual who functions as a technical expert.
 


Job Requirements 

Minimum Requirements:
Education: Bachelors degree in environmental science or demonstrated equivalent.Experience: This is the most senior level position with 17+ years of related experience.Note: Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
