Director, Master Planning Overview
SCA Tissue North America is currently seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of Director, Master Planning. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, the Director, Master Planning will actively participate in the establishment of overall Supply Chain strategy development as a key member of the Supply Chain Leadership team. This position will be located in our Service Excellence Center in Neenah, WI.
Main Tasks
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement the master planning strategy
- Participate as an active member of the Supply Chain Leadership team, providing input on the vision and strategy outside of the functional area of responsibility
- Provide leadership to the regional logistics managers and regional logistics teams to ensure execution of the scheduling adheres to the master plan objectives
- Set inventory targets for finished goods, dispensers and paper
- Accountable for overall inventory investment to support service expectations
- Optimize operational efficiency while balancing service requirements
- Establish a continuous improvement mindset within the master planning team
- Oversee the regional planning responsibilities to ensure all regions work towards standard operating procedures
- Coordinate any outsourcing of SCA manufacturing for finished goods, setting pricing and communicating the process to appropriate departments
- Partner with Revenue Management; drive a capacity based approach to price and profit optimization
- Work with engineering and operations to give investment proposal assistance to show savings or net changes with machine changes, purchases or moves
- Develop the necessary processes to coordinate planning activities and optimization, including: run rate review, capacity plan, paper and component consumption, roll sales and roll sale pricing, paper production plan and regional summary distribution
Key Competencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management required
- MBA is strongly preferred
- 7-10 years as a Director or Senior Manager of Master Planning within a multi-site operation is a must
- Demonstrated experience in a multi-step manufacturing environment
- Proven, quantifiable and significant continuous improvement results throughout career
- SAP knowledge is a plus
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft products
- APICS and/or Six Sigma certification is highly desired
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to communicate to multiple tiers within the organization
