Description The Manager, Corporate Human Resources is responsible for hands on management of the human resources processes for Veolia Transportation corporate employees which includes new hire paperwork, on-boarding processes and all aspects related to the employee work life-cycle. Consults with corporate managers on personnel issues related to staffing, hiring, immigration, transfers, relocations, compensation/benefit issues, training and development of staff, performance management, disciplinary actions, termination of employment, and unemployment claims. Develops updates and assists in the understanding, communication and compliance of corporate human resources policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for the management of select company-wide HR programs; department area initiatives; and annual reporting activities/projects. This position reports to the Director Corporate Human Resources.
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Development/Management
  • Five years hands on experience in a variety of important human resources processes (employee relations, HR management, immigration/visas, performance reviews, etc.)
  • Above average understanding of employment laws, regulations and best practices (Title VII, ADA, FMLA, FSLA, USERRA, etc.)
  • Above average experience in employee work cycle procedures, such as the orientation of new hires, performance management issues and separation processes
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess strong interpersonal, team-building/collaborative skill sets
  • Highly motivated team player who can work independently
  • Friendly demeanor with a positive attitude
  • Project management skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical ability to review data, create spreadsheets and present/explain accordingly ' experience in HRIS (ADP or People Soft preferred)
  • Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
  • Transit industry and/or EEOC investigative experience a plus
