Department Description: This position reports to the mechanical engineering manager of Professional Commercial Radio & Accessories (PCR&A). PCR&A is part of Enterprise Mobility Solutions (EMS). PCR&A designs 2-way radios for the professional commercial market.

Knowledge Skills: Must know how to use CAD. Minimum of 2 years experience. Pro-E preferred.
Should have a good understanding of mechanical design including mating, joining and sealing techniques.
Should understand finite element analysis and have a minimum of 3 years experience. Abaqus preferred.
Must demonstrate good time management skills.
Must be able to execute effectively on multiple projects and assignments.
Must be able to evaluate failures and determine corrective actions.
Must be able to learn software tools quickly.
Must be able to effectively guide and direct junior engineers.
Knowledge of injection molding design and process is a plus.
Knowledge of die casting design and process is a plus.
Knowledge of sheet metal design and process is a plus.

Basic Qualifications: bachelors degree
2+ years mechanical engineering experience
must have experience with one fo the following: pro-e, wildfire, solidworks, catia, unigraphics
