Our client, a large Chemical Manufacturing company in Marietta, GA is seeking a Chemical Production Technician Assistant. Position is a contract to perm. opportunity that encompasses chemical manufacturing, warehouse production, and shipping/receiving.

Chemical Production Technician Assistant duties:

• Work with production technicians to: perform packaging of chemicals, forklift hauling, sampling of chemicals from process equipment through established operating discipline.
• Measures, mixes, batches, and samples raw materials and finished chemical formulas.
• Completes the shipping and packaging function from start to finish based on specific company endorsed procedures.
• Understands Isolation of Energy standards.
• Complete Safety and Compliance Checks as directed.
• Perform job duties to satisfactory levels in support of the business and the team.  This includes prompt arrival at start of shift, appropriate breaks, and adequate communication between shifts to ensure safe and accurate completion of batches.
• Cooperates with associated functions to support the business:  QC Lab, Site Logistics, EH&S and R&D.
• Responds to Emergencies, Leak, or Spill as directed by the Crisis Response Leader or Emergency Response Team.
• Participates in Root Cause Investigations and volunteers for corrective actions.
• Works with the Production Coordinator/Production Engineer to properly document Operating Discipline through procedures and training documentation.

Position Requirements:

• At least high school diploma/ GED.
• At least 3 years Chemical Handling/Chemical Warehousing experience.
• Fork Lift license .
• Ability to pass Respirator Fit Test.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Basic proficiency in use of standard Workstation, E-mail.

Shifts will be rotating four week cycles between 6am-2pm and 2pm-6am.

Payrate is $15-18 per hour based on experience.
