Description:

Matrix Direct is an industry leader in the field of Direct to Consumer Life Insurance sales. As a market leader in this space, the Internet is area of key focus for us. Our eCommerce and Internet Operations team is tasked with building the next generation of web-experiences in the domain of life insurance and is working on various initiatives aimed at changing this business paradigm.



We require a Sr. Information Architect and Coordinator to lead the effort of designing and managing these experiences. The roles and responsibilities of this individual will include:

1. Conceptualize Rich Internet Application models that drive user engagement and conversion. Develop wireframes, storyboards and specifications.

2. Investigate cause and effect of design decisions that impact business value (like conversions), by a thorough analysis of usage metrics, user research and structured usability testing.

3. Conduct or supervise usability testing initiatives that include eye-tracking, multivariate testing and remote usability testing.

4. Estimate design effort for initiatives and activities

5. Lead and manage initiatives in the space of Interactive Marketing and Search Engine Optimization

6. Manage and coordinate development effort through various partners, vendors and subject matter experts across various time zones



Preferred Experience:

1. 6 plus years as an Information Architect

2. Experience in User Experience Design related disciplines like Wire framing, Storyboarding, Functional Analysis etc.

3. Experience in UE techniques like user research, heuristic evaluation, card sorting, site metrics, analysis and usability testing

4. Experience with Web Metrics applications

5. Work across multiple project types (Portals, Web Applications, Content Management Systems)

6. Worked in challenging multi disciplinary team environments

7. Understanding of Front-end technical layers

8. Good understanding of the Digital Marketing Landscape including Search Engine Optimization

9. Managed and mentored Information Architects and Usability Specialists.

10. Set project agendas, worked on multiple projects simultaneously and ensured the timely delivery of work artifacts.

11. Strong Coordination and Management skills

12. Experience making strategic presentations to various layer of Senior Management

13. Degree in Usability related field – e.g. Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Research – is a plus (not a must)
