Excellent opportunity to join AAA as a Property & Casualty Insurance Sales Agent Great benefits at AAA NORTHERN CALIFORNIA, NEVADA & UTAH including matching 401K and pension plan! Responsibilities: Generates sales of AAA products and services through independent solicitation of new insurance policies and auto club memberships. Maintains contact with existing accounts during the year by responding to questions from insured and making contact with insured to renew existing accounts. Provides sales services to walk-in customers. Processes enrollment and renewal paperwork. Must be able and willing to work non-standard business hours as needed including, but not limited to, evenings and weekends. Approximately 50% of time is spent using a personal computer. Selling insurance & memberships. Reviewing, servicing, upselling, cross-selling off existing book of business.
Required: - Persuasive interpersonal skills.
- Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills needed to complete a high volume of forms correctly and calculate rate quotations accurately.
- Basic typing and computer skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills needed as well as ability to exercise discretion and good judgment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have command of the English language and must be able to express oneself effectively, in person and over the telephone.
- Must display interpersonal skills and be able to interact with members, employees and others in a professional and tactful manner.
Preferred: - Bachelor's Degree.
- Ability to obtain & maintain Insurance Solicitor's License.
- Valid Automobile Operator's License.
- Acceptable driving record, if licensed.
- Thorough knowledge of all AAA membership benefits, insurance programs, procedures needed to enroll applicants into these programs, and all forms and manuals used in the application and renewal process.
- Knowledge of AAA underwriting guidelines.
