Position Title: Associate - Credit Risk Analysis and Reporting Group

Job Level: Associate

Position Description:
Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong Associate for the Credit Analysis and Reporting Group. The ideal candidate will grow into a broad role involving, but not limited to credit risk analysis and reporting. This role requires strong capabilities with computers and data management.

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of risk reports covering fixed income, commodity and equity trading activities as well as loans
  • Daily monitoring of risk data quality
  • Optimization and reorganization of risk data tables
  • Representation at cross-functional working groups

    Skills Required:
  • Familiarity with fixed income, equity, and other traded securities
  • Experience with Risk Management methodologies such as VaR
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis/reporting/management
  • Fluency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with VBA, SQL database queries.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, solid writing and oral presentation skills

  • An undergraduate in computer science, finance, or economics is required; an advanced degree is a plus, but is not required.

    Skills Desired:
  • Experience in credit risk management
  • Experience in system development
