We are URS Washington Division.URS Washington Division is seeking a Waste Determination Support Engineer to be based in our Aiken, SC office to work on the Savannah River Remediation Project.Responsibilities: Support the development of waste determinations, closure documentation and NRC Monitoring activities. Will provide technical interpretations of the waste determinations and associated supporting documentation, and regulatory integration on crosscutting issues. Provide liaison support between the facilities and projects and the C&WDA Department. Other Information: Position requires good interpersonal skills to effectively team with other closure personnel in developing cost-effective strategies that will achieve desired closure goals on an aggressive schedule.WDCB01xwashgx01
Minimum Experience/Qualifications/Requirements: BS in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental or Nuclear Engineering 5-15 years of experience with a portion spent supporting operation activities. Experience in state and federally regulatory closure documentation is desirable. Must have excellent written communication skills as well as strong skills of persuasion Local candidates are highly preferred as relocation is not available for this position. US Citizenship is required for this position. Candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Energy security clearance.
