Outside of daily work in the main medical center, a typical day for a YKHC professional could consist of making small trips througout Bethel and the Y-K Delta region (an area the size of Oregon) to treat residents in the 56 villages and four subregional clinics we serve. You'll enjoy working with and getting to know a diverse mix of delta residents and experience an array of medical conditions and procedures you would normally not encounter in the lower 48 states.

With Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska, you'll serve the over 50 rural communities in the Yukon Delta Region who come to us for care. Serving the people of Southwestern Alaska, the Yukon-Kuskokwim Hospital is a 50-bed general acute care medical facility. Fully accredited by JCAHO, services include adult med/surg, pediatrics, obstetrics, emergency room, as well as outpatient family medicine clinics, pharmacy, lab, and imaging.
Position Summary: This position provides both early intervention and specific field of expertise services to families of eligible children age 0-3 in the YK Delta. This position is responsible for the administration of eligibility determination assessments within 45 days of referral, developmental assessments, report writing, and development and implementation of the IFSP, and all transition services. This position organizes family contact, family follow-up, and other services involvement such as special education teachers and other YKHC departments. This position also is a member of the ILP team and provides value added ideas, quality control, service excellence, and standard excellence.
Minimum Education: Associates, Bachelors or Master's degree depending on profession AND license in one of the following areas: Occupational, Speech or Physical Therapy. (PTA pay grade 42, MSLP or OT pay grade 45, PT pay grade 50) Minimum Experience: Three years of Early childhood related experience, rural experience and home visiting experience preferred. License, Certification, Registration: Professional licensure in related field. Equipment/Tools:
Bragance Bailey Scales Peabody REEL ROSETTI PLS-4 Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Training in Neurodevelopmental treatment, Applied Behavior Analysis, Positive Behavioral Supports, Language Instruction, specialized strategies and trainings. Excellent skills in area of expertise. Supervisory Responsibilities: Could include mentoring and development of training materials for Early Intervention Associate staff.
