Kraft Foods is currently seeking a Quality Auditor to work in its Glenview, IL Technology Center. The Quality Auditor is responsible for conducting on-site quality audits, and providing leadership and management of the Quality audit process for Kraft plants, external manufacturers and suppliers. In this role, the successful individual will be responsible for identifying, verifying , and reporting on potential or actual Quality systems non-conformities or failures related to product food safety and Quality. The successful individual must be able to make an independent evaluation of the audited site based on the Kraft Quality Policies, accepted industry practices and all applicable regulatory requirements, and appropriately provide a rating. The person will often work with a team of auditors and other quality support personnel, so will need to be able to work comfortably in a team environment. There will be interface with Kraft manufacturing, suppliers, R&D and procurement. The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows: **Conduct and manage Quality audits across the Kraft Foods supply chain and verify implementation of Kraft Foods Safety and Quality policies. **Inspect, audit and validate facilities for compliance with sanitary, regulatory, production and QA requirements. **Assess HACCP, GMPs and evaluate operation management effectiveness. **Write audit report and communicate audit results **Update audit data sheet with audit results
- BS degree in Food Science, or related field of study with a preference for experience in high-risk products such as meat, cheese and other bacteriological sensitive products.
*5+ years of experience in Food industry - food safety and product quality programs. *3+ years of experience of auditing experience is a must *3+ Years of experience in HACCP, GMPs and some knowledge of allergen issues *Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements for the country being audited. *Has Quality Certification from a recognized body is a plus (ASQ, SAFE, etc) *English reading and writing skills required *Excellent written and verbal communication skills *Microsoft office tools knowledge (Word, Excel) is preferred.
