We are also the only company in the United States to stabilize high-level radioactive waste.URS Washington Division is seeking an Associate Planner / Scheduler to be based in our Aiken, SC office to work on the Savannah River Remediation Project. Responsibilities: Provide assistance to planner/schedulers to determine project schedule requirements based on an analysis of engineering design, procurement, construction, start-up of operations data. Implement and maintain division long-range and/or outage maintenance schedules in conjunction with the designated work management system. Review both short and mid-range planning and scheduling of preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment and system performance. Identify critical path activities and suggest modifications to work plans to maintain schedule and to meet or improve upon milestone dates and other date of completion. Assist in the development of resource loaded schedules and Activity Based Cost Estimates. Perform routine assigned tasks related to preparation and application of schedule update and monitoring activities. Assist in the analyzing variance from the schedule baseline. Integrate schedule/status information into schedule software and develop visually-oriented presentation aids to communicate operations/project/maintenance status. Provide planning/scheduling support to division, department or project activities as directed. Assist in the preparation, logging, and tracking of Baseline Change Proposals and schedule trend reports. Assist in the regular review and closure of open and backlog issues assigned utilizing designated tracking system(s). Identify activities and issues requiring closure to satisfy customer requirements and ensure entry into designated tracking system(s). Other Information: Primavera is a plus A basic knowledge and understanding of project management, project planning and cost control at the tactical level is necessary, along with a knowledge of operations, maintenance, or project startup and construction. Knowledge of materials planning, time and cost estimating, as well as experience or aptitude in computers and computer project planning and controls software is required.WDCB01xwashgx
Minimum Experience/Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business / construction management / technical / engineering or a related area and at least 0-2 years of practical experience in planning and scheduling, work control, or related areas orAn Associate's degree and at least 4-6 years of relevant experience would be considered equivalent or A high school diploma and at least 5-7 years of relevant experience would also be considered equivalent. US Citizenship is required for this position. Candidates must be able to obtain a Department of Energy security clearance.
