Job Description

Growing Austin-based Company has partnered with us in the search for a Payroll Tax Accountant. This individual will be responsible for the payroll tax reporting to states and federal government for multiple entities. This individual will ensure the payroll taxes are properly reconciled, funded and filed as well as posted to the general ledger in a timely manner.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Validating and posting all payroll entries from the HR/payroll system to the general ledger system

  • Posting all tax information from the HR/payroll system to the accounts payable system

  • Reconciling payroll taxes by pay period for multiple entities, and submitting tax payments to Cash Manager

  • Preparing all monthly, quarterly, annual tax reports and required magnetic media

  • Assisting with preparation of W-3/W-2s and quarterly/annual tax filings

  • Establishing new accounts in various states as needed

    Requirements:

  • 3+ years of related payroll tax experience (state and federal)

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Payroll is preferred; strong Excel skills is a must

  • Experience in working within a high-growth, multiple entity environment

  • Bachelor's Degree required
