Chief Architect - US MINT

Description:
This opening is for a Chief Architect role on the Lockheed Martin ITS Program supporting the U.S. Mint. The ITS Program provides all aspects of IT services to the U.S. Mint customer to include Help Desk, NOC/SOC, Telecommunications, Project Management, and Custom Application development and support. The client base consists of 1,200 customers with 800 located at headquarters in Washington, D.C. and the remaining 400 customers at the four regional offices (Denver, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and West Point).

The Chief Architect will have oversight over the Custom Application Support Team led by the Software Engineering Manager and be responsible for working with Program Management to strengthen the O&M of existing custom applications and exploit new opportunities for application development and support.

Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in assessing enterprise's current applications and application architectures

ITIL Foundations V3 certified or able to obtain 60 days after hire

Active PMP certification or able to obtain 60 days after hire

Proven track record interacting with application stakeholders to define clear requirements and expectations

Extensive experience managing a portfolio of applications for stability, availability, and high performance in internet, intranet, and extranet environments

Working with customers and colleagues to define the gate-keeping roles in lifecycle application development activities

Ability to establish, operate, and maintain an effective Incident management process for any problems associated with application support

Experience in applying CMMI and ITIL and other industry best practice

Experience in multiple platforms and programming languages including J2EE, Java, .NET, and others

Experiences managing one or more of the following:
Documentum, SCADA, Maximo, and/or ADCS

Designing target application architecture and developing transition roadmap to move from the current state to the target state

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Familiar with the task order management and writing winning proposals
