We are currently seeking a Project Manager to direct and perform highly complex or specialized aspects of engineering related projects for our Water business line. This will entail providing technical guidance on Public Works projects consisting of plans and specifications and/or studies for paving & drainage (P&D) and water and wastewater (W&WW) pump stations, pipelines and treatment. Experience with TxDOT on projects is a plus. It will also include developing new business opportunities by marketing AECOM's Water services to prospective clients in Houston and the surrounding area.

Other responsibilities include the following:
  •           Ensuring that the project team functions effectively.
  •           Performing a variety of selected engineering tasks including but not limited to: leading the development of major project proposals, directing Project Leaders and Technical Specialists in developing and meeting schedules and budgets for all projects.
  •           Directing the multi-disciplinary activities of engineering and design groups assigned to complex projects and manages complex engineering tasks related to major projects.
  •           Effectively communicating and sharing information, knowledge and expertise between projects and disciplines.
  •           Successfully accomplishes assigned projects and develops client relationships that facilitate successful project completion and identify future opportunities. 
  •           Building a high performing team by creating a work environment that supports teamwork and cooperation; attracts, retains, develops, and rewards talent.
  •           Providing direction and mentoring to team members enabling subordinates to have the knowledge, skills and ability to perform their role, including formalized training, on the job training, coaching, and stretch assignments.

    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 8+ years of experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities are required.
  • Experience in public works design a must.- Strong communication and interpersonal skill required.
