Are you an accomplished Paralegal? If so, welcome to Masco Corporation! We are seeking a Paralegal who is a highly motivated, ethical professional who can work well and thrive in a fast paced team environment in which mutual respect and cooperation is expected. At least five years of related work experience and an undergraduate degree is a requirement. Certification as a legal assistant is desirable. To be effective, the candidate will have excellent oral communication and writing skills.

 

The primary duties of the position involve the management of outside counsel to ensure compliance with case strategies established for the matter and monitoring adherence to a legal budget. In performing these duties, the candidate will retain appropriate outside counsel, actively assist in the establishment of case strategies and budgets appropriate for the matter, review and assist in the development of all pleadings, interact with witnesses, assist and direct the selection of experts, and coordinate all discovery activities. As an integral part of the position, the candidate will also control and monitor settlement discussions and approve the ultimate resolution of assigned matters.   While minimal, there must be sufficient flexibility to travel as necessary.
