Sr. Government Account Manager
Position Summary:
The Sr. Government Account Manager (SGAM) will meet and exceed monthly sales quota objectives by growing and retaining assigned Government Accounts. Incumbent will proactively penetrate existing assigned accounts and increase corporate liable business by making recommendations for new lines, new products and or new solutions. Regularly manage and lead all efforts necessary to identify, acquire and further penetrate assigned Government Accounts. Must prioritize activities to maximize sales productivity and account coordination with identified resources. Negotiate and renew existing customer government contracts. Develop positive business relationships with assigned accounts and service as a point of contact for questions or problems.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proactively penetrate existing assigned Government accounts and increase corporate liable business by making recommendations for new lines, new products, and new solutions. Develop positive business relationships with assigned accounts and service as a point of contact for questions or problems
- Define and deliver post-sales Care services to meet the client's expectations in a manner that is cost- effective for T-Mobile. Provide service solutions to meet customer needs including billing and expense management, post-sale customer education on service and equipment, technical troubleshooting. Resolve all customer service inquires on the first contact. Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn. (coordination with care to solve general care needs)
- Prioritize activities to maximize sales productivity and identify new areas for account growth. Work with the Premier Discount representatives to exceed targets and drive Individual Liable business within the targeted accounts
- Continuously update knowledge of wireless products, services, industry trends and the competitive dynamics of the marketplace. Participate in training opportunities on products and services and attend sales meetings. Regular focus on enhancing communication and presentation skill set.
- Fully utilize all sales force automation to identify new business opportunities within accounts in assigned geographic territory. Generate reporting on sales activities, customized billing reports and rate plan analysis. Monitor and analyze support statistics to ensure SLA's are being met. Develop, coordinate and monitor the deployment and success of service solutions and portfolio account review, and provide updates to the client and GAM team.
Position Requirements:
Functional & Technical Skills
- Fully utilize all sales force automation to identify new business opportunities within accounts in assigned geographic territory. Generate reporting on sales activities, customized billing reports and rate plan analysis
- Proficiency in windows-based software programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Superior professional selling and account management skills, negotiation and closing experience
Experience:
- 5 Years Sales experience with demonstrated history of sales achievements in a commissioned environment
- 5 Years Customer Portfolio Management
- 5 Years Experience in wireless/telecommunications
- 5 Years Government Market
Competencies:
- Ability to absorb large amounts of technical knowledge
- Strong organizational and time management skills with keen ability to address highly complex customer issues.
- Proven track record of success in a commissioned environment
- A knack for learning and analyzing various types of businesses.
- Must have a valid Drivers license and satisfactory driving record and proof of insurance
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree - General Studies Required
Travel Requirements:
- Approximate 60% of time traveling
- Ability to work in field majority of the day calling on clients
- Local day travel and overnight
